Authorities Serbian President Boris Tadic in the lead, had reacted quickly, ensuring that the State "not tolerate" threats "from hooligans and criminals" against journalists "in the exercise of their job. "

News: The association Brice Taton moves forward!

11/2/ 2009, 15:43

Since its creation, the Brice Taton association moved on numerous points, thanks to your commitment as well as to your numerous donations.
Beside the match TFC-Lorient took place a silent march from the Capitol Square to the Stadium. It also was the opportunity to put in the sale a T-shirt "BRICE" so that people honor his memory and never forget!
The association office has also mobilized to publicize it in a large number of media (local and national) to disseminate our message and make calls for donations widest possible.
An interview in Toulouse Mag will be issued for publication November (5).
Actions are also undertaken with several clubs in Ligue 1 and 2 to collect a large number of jerseys to hold an auction during 2010.
A partnership is born with the association "Jazz for All" on their next two concerts (Monty Alexander November 4 at the Casino Barrière theater, and Jean-Christian Michel, who will perform at the Cathedral Saint-Etienne de Toulouse on 12 thursday November.)
A site has been developed through the outstanding work of our webmaster Erwin, backed by Christian now, where you can follow news of the association and also make donations or buy a T-shirt.
In ongoing projects, an operation with the FFF and UEFA, a new tee-shirt and logo are under study as well as many initiatives that we are proposed, as young citizens of Bellefontaine who hoisted the tee shirt "BRICE" during the broadcast channel football club Sunday 25/10, or Brice songs from a young rapper from Toulouse.
Our work has only just begun, the trial will happen sooner than we think and our efforts will have to intensify at that point so that noone forgets and especially so that justice is done!
It is therefore important to maintain the memory of Brice and also exercise additional pressure when the trial opens.

Thank you for all your support, thank to the TFC, which helps a lot.
For Brice, our action must not falter, never forget.
Best regards
For Association Brice Taton,
The President,
Philippe Maury

October 29th / September 29th: one month already and Brice always in your hearts

11/2/ 2009, 09:46

To date, our site, over 2 500 posts from 37 countries since Brice passed away. As demonstrated by the tribute that continue to be returned in many stages, this vast outpouring of solidarity is not to go out.
In addition to the amount repaid by the TFC after the match against Lorient last October 4, Brice Taton the association has already received close to 15 000 € through various donations and the sale of nearly 1 000 t-shirts to the effigy of Brice. Again thank you for your support and generosity.
Among other actions of the association, we shall note the organization of a big auction of players' shirts of football (numerous clubs of League 1 and League 2 have already sent the dedicated shirts). In longer term, the association intends to propose a tribute to Brice during finale of the League Europa and during finale of the French cup, which will take place on May 1st, day of Brice's anniversary.

Brice's family calls up to the dignity during the return match

10/24/ 2009, 17:07

No provocation, no threat, no act of vengeance will make Brice return. The feeling of anger is justifiable, but the insults and the violence do not have to be an answer to the obnoxious act which was committed. Even if they support their club with an immense fervour, very great majority of the Serbian supporters have nothing to do with the murderers of Brice and only the condemnation of these last ones will bring the reassurance which we need.

It is in Belgrade where the justice will soon be returned and not to Toulouse on the occasion of the return match. Brice had the heart of a true supporter, respectful the others and the most beautiful way of honouring him December 3rd will be to give to this match all the dignity which agrees.

Thank you for your support.

The Serbian prosecutor asks for the ban on 14 groups of supporters of football

10/18/ 2009, 16:45

The prosecutor Slobodan Radovanovic on Friday called a ban on 14 groups of supporters of three football clubs following the death of French Brice Taton. This Toulouse supporter died in Belgrade last September 29 after a violent assault.

Slobodan Radovanovic has filed an application with the Serbian Constitutional Court seeking to prohibit those groups affiliated clubs Partizan Belgrade, the Red Star and Rad.

Supporters of Partizan are suspected of being responsible for the death of Brice Taton, 28, died after suffering a savage assault in a bar in Belgrade on the occasion of the Europa League encounter between Partizan and Toulouse September 17.

Ten suspects have been arrested in connection with the investigation. They should be indicted for murder and face up to 40 years in prison.

Some of these groups, apparently infiltrated by militants of the extreme right, are also suspected of being behind the fire at the U.S. embassy in Belgrade during protests against the recognition of Kosovo by Western countries in February 2008.

A Belgrad's street will be named after Brice's name

dimanche 18 octobre 2009, 16:29

Hooligan attack was "well organized"

dimanche 18 octobre 2009, 16:27

Assistant Serbian Police (MUP) Directorate Chief Željko Nikac says the hooligan attack on French fans in Belgrade last month was “remarkably well organized”.

Nikac said on Monday in Belgrade that everyone who took part in that criminal plan was well organized, and their goal was to "inflict evil", because they had received information where the French fans were.

“Criminal charges were brought against 11 of those young men. One of them brought with him balaclavas and distributed them to others, another brought other equipment, the third brought the torches”, stated Nikac.

According to this high ranking police official, "those French young men were sitting decently. The attack on them was a stampede”, stressed Nikac, as he referred to the incident that saw Brice Taton suffer serious injuries to which he succumbed ten days later.

"Our country has suffered great shame because of that," he said, and made an observation that "we were lucky to have managed to cushion the blow to our relations afterward”.

"Taton’s parents were very dignified, which is sad to say in this whole story," stressed Nikac and added that they “weren’t making Serbia’s international position harder in any way”.

"The French minister came for a visit and she had meetings with minister of sports and President Tadic. We did several things to cushion a plain stupidity of a group of hooligans which took a life,” Nikac said.

“I was just wondering what it was like for the community of 17,000 Serbs in France. How they felt that day when a young man was murdered for no reason at all. Terrible,” said he.

“The police came, but those five minutes didn’t make any difference. It was all over,” Nikac concluded.

An overwhelming support

jeudi 15 octobre 2009, 20:12

On October 4, at the TFC-Lorient match dedicated to Brice, 112 715 euros of donations were collected to be fully returned to his family.

Brice's family and the Association Brice Taton join the TFC to thank friends, fans, players of the TFC, public and private partners and all anonymous who showed such great generosity. Such a show of solidarity reflects the emotion of this tragedy and can only encourage Brice's parents to complete their fight.

Thank you also very much, to all of you who continue to support us through this website.

Serbia issues arrest warrants for 2 suspects in French fan killing

lundi 12 octobre 2009, 14:01
Serbia has issued warrants for the arrest of two fugitives suspected of taking part in the fatal beating of a French football fan last month.
Police chief Ivica Dacic said Sunday one of the suspects had apparently fled the country. Serbian media have reported that he is in the Netherlands.
The pair were allegedly among the hooligans who attacked French fans in a Belgrade pub ahead of last month's Europa League match between Toulouse and Partizan Belgrade.
The attack left 28-year-old Brice Taton severely injured. He died in hospital several days later.
Serbian police have arrested ten individuals over for the beating, while authorities have moved to ban violent fan groups and far-right organizations.

lundi 12 octobre 2009, 13:57
